STATE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES
Government of Haryana has laid an initiative to honor girl child and have them married gracefully. For this purpose, Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojna has been implemented to ensure that the girls from poor families and daughters of widows/destitute women, sports women and orphan girl child, are married graciously. Government thus offers grants under the scheme to the beneficiaries for the celebration of marriage of those eligible to avail benefits under the scheme.
In order to solve the housing problem of Scheduled Castes and Denotified Tribes/ Tapriwas Jatis “Housing scheme for Scheduled Castes and Denotified Tribes, Dr B.R Ambedkar" is being implemented by this department. From the year 2006, amount has been enhanced from Rs 10,000 to Rs. 50,000 and a provision of Rs. 10,000 is also made for repair of the house. Since the inception of present government, there has been a remarkable growth in this scheme as expenditure increased remarkably and beneficiaries rose tremendously. Handsome amount have been spent on homeless persons to construct or repair their dwelling.
In order to promote communal harmony in the state of Haryana, Government of Haryana has
introduced Mukhya Mantri Samrasta Antarjatiya Vivah Shagun Yojna that encourages
inter-caste marriages. Under the scheme, both the spouse should be citizen of India and one of the spouse should be a Scheduled Caste and he/she should be a permanent resident of
Haryana State. An amount of Rs. 1,01,000 is provided as incentive to the married couple.
The beneficiary can apply for incentive within three years from the date of marriage. The grant shall only be given once for the first marriage. The application should be supported with a Certificate from District Magistrate in case of Civil Marriage or Registered Certificate fromTehsildar / SDM.
Rs. 51,000 as direct benefit is transferred to the joint account of the couple will be given
immediately after marriage.
The balance amount of Rs. 50,000 will be given after one year of cohabitation.
The application must be submitted within three years The approving authority in case of
Mukhya Mantri Samajik Antarjatiya Vivah Shagun Yojna Scheme. The competent authorities
for the sanction of shagun is District Welfare Officer.

EDUCATIONAL SCHEMES
Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chattar Sanshodhit Yojna
To encourage the merit amongst Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes students a scheme namely “ Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatar Sanshodhit Yojna” was launched in the year 2005-06. It is amended in 2009 which make this scheme “The Scheme of masses” as its scope has been extended up to post-graduate classes. Now this scheme is known as “Dr. Ambedkar Sanshodhit Medhavi Chattar Sanshodhit Yojna. From the year 2005-06 no. of beneficiaries increased tremendously reflecting its growth. Similarly, the expenditure also increased immensely. Students should be domicile of Haryana and should belong to Scheduled Caste or Backward Classes.

SELF EMPLOYMENT SCHEMES
Tailoring Training to Scheduled Caste & Backward Classes Widows/Destitute Women/girls
Government of Haryana has laid an initiative to make widow/destitute women/girls from
Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes capable of earning their livelihood by providing them
training for tailoring and awarding stipend to trainees under training in Community Centre.
All the stipends under the rules shall be defined by the Director, Welfare of Scheduled Castes
and Backward Classes Department, Haryana, or any officer subordinate to him to whom such
power have been delegated by the Director.
District Welfare Officer stands the sanctioning authority for awarding stipend to the eligible.
